How Running Can Save Your Life! 

A recent study found that any amount of running reduces risk of early death!



There are about 3.2 million deaths each year due to people not doing enough physical activity. At Fitlink we believe that if we can get our workplaces fit and healthy, then we can make the world fit and healthy!

The study found significant health benefits running once a week or less, less than 50 minutes a week, or at a pace of 6mph (9.5km/h) or less, with no bigger decrease in the risk of early death at greater levels of running.

The current NHS guidelines recommend 150 minutes of moderate activity (or 75 minutes of vigorous activity). But the study suggested even slightly less time spent running could produce similar benefits when it came to the risk of early death.
